Heroic: Madness of Deathwing

This evening, Pure laid to rest Deathwing in 25 man Heroic mode. The Madness of Deathwing encounter is the final fight in the Dragon Soul raid, and provided a fair challenge, going down in only a few raid nights compared to previous end tier bosses. The kill was way ahead of our previous guild rankings, and in fact puts Pure at a comfortable world ranking of around 390. Among 25 man guilds we are ranked 160 (96 in Europe), and have once again cemented our position as one of the top 3 day/9 hour a week raiding guilds in Europe.

Heroic Dragon Soul: Spine of Deathwing

The penultimate encounter in Dragon Soul has been defeated by Pure. Heroic Spine of Deathwing is said to be the most challenging fight of the expansion, and was laid to rest last night on 25 man mode.
It was a world 163 ranked (94 Europe) 25 man kill. This just leaves the slightly easier Madness of Deathwing left for this expansion. Generic Spine screenshot included since you can’t stand around for a kill shot afterwards.

Heroic Dragon Soul: Warmaster Blackhorn

Pure has defeated all pre-Deathwing encounters in Dragon Soul. The sixth heroic boss vanquished was Warmaster Blackhorn on 25 player mode. It was a world ranked 228 (Europe 129) 25 man kill. Now onto Deathwing.

Heroic Dragon Soul: Ultraxion

Pure has defeated their fifth encounter in Dragon Soul, Ultraxion. The kill came on 25 man difficulty, and is a world 234 ranked 25 man kill.

Heroic Dragon Soul: Hagara the Stormbinder

Pure has swiftly dispatched Hagara the Stormbinder on 25 man Heroic mode. This currently puts Pure at 4/8 on hard modes, slightly more on track after the holiday break.

Heroic Dragon Soul: Warlord Zon’ozz

After some time off for the holidays, Pure has returned and defeated the third heroic boss of Dragon Soul, Warlord Zon’ozz – on 25 man difficulty. After carefully planning tactics, and with a lot of patience and dedication, the boss went down.

Heroic Dragon Soul: Yor’sahj & Morchok deaded

After a 2 long nights on Yor’sahj we finally managed to bring him down thanks to a numerous amount of tactic changes and Khadar being a BAWS. (Everyone else helped to though)

From these fights we learnt a few things:
- Divine storm single target IS a dps increase
- Nerf mages,
- Nerf Zardox,
- Nilios is a weak tank who dies numerous times every raid,
- Power word: skill is hard,

Morchok was about as hard as Shannox without the dogs, the traps and the spear

Heroic Ragnaros

Pure has finally laid rest to Ragnaros Heroic, it took us a fair while on this one! But we worked at it, and after having an abysmal start to raid we quickly picked up the pace and landed an easy kill, to a hard boss.

Nerfed or not, this fight was pretty hard, and mistakes are punished harshly.

Big thanks to those who progress raided and didn’t get the kill (Beno, Dre’ngulfin’gun and others I forgot!).

Heroic Firelands: Baleroc, YOU have been judged…

I am pleased to announce that Pure has finally downed Baleroc Heroic, it was a hard fight to learn yet once the mechanics were learned it all came down to personal performance and once again in Pure style the final attempt of the evening saw the Gatekeeper fall.

Very well done to those who came in on short notice to an array of connection issues!

The second progressional evening saw Pure finally add yet another Heroic kill to our list, this was a well earned kill and glad to see the Heroic chest token finally unlocked!
